1. Delivery Logistics & Tank Capacity
We make every effort to complete deliveries within one to two working days. However, during peak seasons or periods of adverse weather, delivery times may be extended.
- Tank Capacity (Ullage): Customers are responsible for checking their tank levels (“dipping the tank”) and ensuring there is sufficient capacity for the ordered volume.
- Access & Delays: If our driver is unreasonably delayed or prevented from completing a delivery due to restricted access, safety concerns, or insufficient tank space, we reserve the right to deduct delivery-related expenses from any applicable refund.
- Non-Returnable Product: Due to the nature of flammable and hazardous materials, we cannot accept returns or pump back fuel once it has been discharged into a storage tank. All bulk deliveries are final.
2. Pricing & Refunds
- Web Orders: By placing an order, you are purchasing a specified volume of fuel at the price confirmed at checkout.
- Metered Dispensing: All fuel deliveries are measured using calibrated meters on our delivery vehicles. The metered quantity at the point of delivery is final.
- Volume Adjustments: If your tank reaches capacity before the full quantity is delivered, you will only be charged for the amount actually dispensed.
- Issuing Refunds: Where payment has been made in advance for a higher volume than delivered, a refund for the difference will be automatically issued to your original payment method.
- Refund Timeline: Refunds are processed through the banking system and typically appear in your account within 3 to 10 working days.
- Price Brackets: Pricing is based on volume. If the delivered quantity falls into a lower pricing bracket than originally ordered, we reserve the right to adjust the unit price accordingly.
3. Health & Safety
To ensure safe delivery across residential, commercial, and agricultural locations, the following conditions must be met:
- No Ignition Sources: Smoking, vaping, and the use of mobile devices are strictly prohibited in the immediate vicinity of the tank or fill point during delivery.
- Heat & Open Flames: Ensure that naked flames, stoves, radiators, or similar heat sources are not operating near the tank, inlet, or vent pipe during delivery.
- Site Safety: Customers are responsible for maintaining tanks and access points in a safe and serviceable condition suitable for delivery.
4. Customs & Legal Notices
- Kerosene (Home Heating Oil / 28-Second Oil): Intended strictly for heating purposes.
- Marked Gas Oil (Green Diesel / Tractor Diesel): This is a rebated fuel and must not be used in road vehicles. Misuse may result in penalties and legal action by Revenue authorities.
- DERV (White Diesel / Road Diesel / Autodiesel): Standard road-taxed fuel for vehicle use.
- Ownership: Ownership of the fuel remains with O’Keeffes (Rathmore) Ltd until full payment has been received.
